Akkar News, Vijayawada: United Institute of Hotel Management College hosted a special event in celebration of Diwali.


As part of this event, the college was beautifully decorated with lights. The students arranged a splendid view with a festival theme, showcasing traditional Diwali decorations and rangoli designs.


The festival celebrations featured the lighting of diyas, prayers to Goddess Lakshmi, and a cultural program. The event highlighted the importance of Diwali and its significance.


College Director Mr. Rajesh Madhav emphasized that Diwali symbolizes the victory of light over darkness. He praised the efforts of the students and faculty in making the celebrations grand and successful.

CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's Iftar Party


Machilipatnam (Vijayawada Central): Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy hosted an Iftar dinner for the Muslim community at the Indira Gandhi Municipal Stadium in Vijayawada. During the event, he emphasized the importance of unity and brotherhood among people of all religions. He extended his best wishes to the Muslim community and expressed his gratitude for their contributions to the state’s development.

Machilipatnam, Newstoday: A grand "Christmas Cake Mixing" ceremony was held at the United Hotel Management College in Machilipatnam. College Director Abdul Razak inaugurated the event, where students participated in the traditional cake mixing process, blending ingredients like dry fruits, nuts, and spices. 


Speaking on the occasion, Abdul Razak emphasized the importance of practical learning in the hotel management industry. He highlighted how such events provide students with hands-on experience and help them understand international culinary traditions.

Special Eid Prayers at United Institute 


Machilipatnam, News Today: Special Eid prayers were conducted at United Institute of Hotel Management under the leadership of Business Management Mentor and Chairman Shaik Abdul Razak. 


Speaking at the event, T. Siraj Pasha (Traffic) emphasized the significance of the festival and highlighted the unity and brotherhood it promotes. Minister *Amjad Basha*, MLCs, and other dignitaries participated in the program. 


The event witnessed a large gathering of *students, faculty, and guests, who performed Eid prayers with devotion. Minister **R.K. Roja* extended her greetings to all and stressed the importance of religious harmony. The college director *Shaik Abdul Razak*, along with faculty members and students, actively took part in the celebrations.

Minister Amjad Basha, along with MLA Mohammad Rafi, attended the prayer session. During the event, the minister emphasized the importance of Eid in promoting peace and harmony*.

A grand Ugadi festival celebration was organized by United College of Hotel Management, Vijayawada. The event, held with great enthusiasm, showcased the significance of Ugadi, marking the beginning of the new year according to the Telugu calendar. 


As part of the celebrations, students and faculty actively participated in traditional cultural programs, food festivals, and competitions. A special highlight was the "Panchanga Sravanam" (New Year predictions)session, where scholars explained astrological forecasts for the year 2023. 


MLA Malladi Vishnu, who attended as the chief guest, praised the college for conducting such a meaningful event that connects students to their roots and traditions. He emphasized the importance of traditional festivals in fostering cultural awareness among the younger generation. 


United College Director Abdul Razak addressed the gathering, explaining the role of the hospitality industry in preserving and promoting Indian culture through such events. He highlighted how students of hotel management should understand *festive culinary traditions to cater to a diverse clientele in their future careers.

A Bright Future with Hotel Management: MLA Malladi Vishnu

Hotel Management offers a bright future, said State Planning Board Vice Chairman and MLA Malladi Vishnu. He attended the United Institute of Hotel Business Management's Talent Fest 2023, held at Bavajipeta C Convention Hall in Vijayawada. 


Speaking as the chief guest, MLA Vishnu emphasized the revolutionary changes in the education system under the leadership of Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. He highlighted that even underprivileged students are now able to pursue higher education abroad* due to government initiatives. He also appreciated the management and faculty of United College for their dedication to education. 


College Principal Dr. M. Srinivasa Rao stated that the institution is committed to providing high-quality education, which is helping students secure employment opportunities both in India and abroad


United College Director Abdul Razaq announced that 20 students had been selected for international placements, and MLA Vishnu personally handed over visas to the selected students


The event also featured cultural performances by students, which captivated the audience.
